"The Artsy Girls"

 

Sherri Bardsley, Marilyn Brown, Charlotte "Tootie" Holman,Muriel Lanciault, and Dolores O'Sullivan have been painting together for four years, having met at the art class sponsored by the Faith Sellers Senior Center in Summerville, South Carolina. Newest member, Karen Gaag, joined the group while all were participating in the Coosaw Creek Art Classes.

Lightheartedly calling themselves "The Artsy Girls", the group has taken lessons from several noted artists in the Charleston/Summerville area and participated in numerous workshops, classes, and competitons. All have won awards, ranging from Honorable Mentions to People's Choice Award, in shows sponsored by the Summerville Artist Guild, the Exchange Club Low Country Fair, the Coosaw Creek Women's Club, the Goose Creek Artist Guild, and the Old Santee Canal Park.

Most are members of the Summerville, Goose Creek, and Charleston Artist Guilds.
